Employee Family Enrichment Program
The Employee Family Enrichment Program enables your company to directly promote literacy within your employees’ families. This can be achieved through dissemination of newsletter articles, handouts, books, DVDs and booklets – resources that enrich and improve family literacy in ways that help children succeed.
When you sign on to launch a year-long program, Words That Cook will work with you to determine what combination of resources and services will best meet your needs. The program options include:
- Kicking off the program with a company-wide celebration featuring the Invest in America – Invest in Literacy presentation
- Subscribing to a monthly article supplied by Words That Cook for inclusion in your company newsletter
- Distributing our book, Read it Aloud! A parent’s guide to sharing books with young children, to employees
- Making Words that Cook! Parenting with children’s books™ DVDs available to employees
- Sponsoring distribution of the booklet, 101 Tips to Get Kids Reading and Keep Kids Reading, to employees – this booklet can be personalized with your company logo and translated into languages other than English
- Recognizing specific employees for putting ideas to work in their families and helping others by scheduling a special parent’s testimonial and coaching session
